Day 1: Ulaanbaatar
After arriving in Ulaanbaatar, you’ll be greeted at the airport and escorted to your hotel. City tour including a visit to Gandan monastery with a statue of Magjid Janraisig (the lord who looks in every direction). It is about 25 meters tall and is covered by a huge number of precious stones. The next spot will be Sukhbaatar Square, where all central departments including the Government house situated. Lunch in a restaurant. Then, an excursion to the Zaisan Hill War Memorial to get bearings with a panoramic view of the whole city. Dinner and overnight in the hotel. L, D
Day 2: Ikh Gazriin chuluu /~290kms/
After breakfast drive to Ikh Gazriin Chuluu. These rocky mountains are situated in Dundgov Aimag. They spread out from west to east covering about 20 kilometers. There are many interesting stories about local historic people who had lived or had been hidden in caves from the royalties of that time. These caves are usually named after those people. It has a rich family of plants and is home to many wild animals. Overnight in tourist ger camp. B, L, D
Day 3: Khamriin Khiid /~320 km/
This day drives to Khamriin Khiid. Shambala Land of the Khamriin Khiid Monastery: Danzanravjaa the Terrible Noble Saint of the Gobi V let all his disciples gather amid many colored hills nearby the Hamriin Hiid Monastery to make proportional drawings of the Shambala Land. They created a meditation practice land with wooden stupas, a door, and a heap of stones. At that place, His Holiness uttered prayers to meet with his all disciples in the Holy Shambala Land. That’s why this place is known as the Shambala Land and has become one of the holiest places for prostration and circumambulation nowadays. B, L, D
Day 4: Ongon Sum /~360 km/

Day 5: Altan Ovoo mountain, Taliin Agui cave /~250 km/
After breakfast drive to Altan Ovoo Mountain and Taliin Agui. TALIIN AGUI or the Steppe Cave is the largest cave in Mongolia with seven chambers to explore, the entrance which is covered with ice till August. Overnight in the tourist camp. B, L, D
Day 6: Undurkhaan town /~370 km/
After breakfast drive to Undurkhaan town which is the center of the Khentii Aimag. Stay overnight in a local hotel. B, L, D
Day 7: Deluun Boldog /~270km/
Deluun Boldog, Birthplace of Chinggis Khan
For his 800th birthday, a statue of Genghis Khan was erected in 1962 at Deluun Boldog; a place believed to be the great Khan's birthplace, close to what is today Dadal soum, an attractive wooded area in North-west Khentii region.
The area contains trails and lakes for visitors as well as monuments where you can learn why this fierce warrior and a great leader is still revered today. Dadal Sum once housed one of three great lamaist temples consecrated to Genghis Khan, but which was razed in the 1930s. Now there are stone monuments to erected in the surrounding beauty of the Mongolian countryside. Overnight in tourist ger camp. B, L, D
Day 8: Khar zurkh khukh lake /~260km/
This day drive to Khukh Lake. A freshly watered Lake Khukh which consists of 2 lakes, linked underground, is located on the south of Mount Kharzurkh 1675m above sea level. The area around the lake is a place of natural beauty surrounded by a mountain and is abundant with various species of animals and vegetation.
In this place, Temuujin was enthroned as a king of the united tribes of Mongolia and titled “Chingges khan” which means Oceanic great king in 1189. In the Secret History of Mongols, a chronicle book of Chingges Khan’s life, place names such as Lake Khukh, Mount Kharzurkh, and Sengur Gorkhi were mentioned. On the bank of the lake there is a monument dedicated to the 840th birth anniversary of Chingges Khan and in a crescent-shaped area with a diameter of 108m surrounding the monument, woodcrafts of 36 royal or golden lineage kings were placed.
On the central part of this establishment woodcrafts of Chingges Khan, his father Esukhei, his mother Oulen, and his queen Borte Ujin were posed. Boards with deeds’ inscriptions of a particular king along with specific events of that period in English and Mongolian are in front of the kings’ woodcrafts. This memorial complex consists of 50 woodcrafts including 9 marshals of Chingges khan placed at two sides of the main gate. B, L, D
Day 9: Terelj Natural Park /~220km/
After breakfast drive to Terelj Natural Park. Terelj Natural Park is recognized as a part of the huge Khan Khentii reserve and was established as a Strictly Protected Area in 1992. The park's most spectacular features are its huge granite blocks and cliffs as well as meadows rich in wildflowers.
Terelj offers fascinating rock formations against a background of pine-covered mountains. The average elevation is about 1600 m., with peaks reaching 2900 m. The park is rich in flora and fauna and reminds us of beautiful Alpine valleys. Overnight in tourist ger camp. B, L, D
Day 10: Ulaanbaatar /~60km/
This day drives back to Ulaanbaatar. After arrival check-in at the hotel and relax after a long trip. In the evening enjoy traditional folklore performances. Overnight in the hotel. B, L, D
