Khuvsgul Lake Tour

Day 1: Arrival in Ulaanbaatar

Upon your arrival in Ulaanbaatar, you will be transferred to your hotel to rest and recover from your journey. In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner at a traditional Mongolian restaurant. /L/D/

Day 2: The Magnificent Amarbaysgalant Monastery

Today, we drive to the Amarbaysgalant Monastery, located in Selenge Province. Established in 1726 and dedicated to Mongolia’s first spiritual leader, Bogd Zanabazar, this monastery is considered one of the most magnificent architectural constructions in Central Asia. You will spend the night at a traditional tourist camp. /B/L/D/

Day 3: The Crater Lake of Uran Togoo Volcano

After breakfast at the camp, we head to the Uran Togoo Volcano in Bulgan Province. This volcano became extinct approximately 20,000 to 25,000 years ago. Visitors can hike up to see the unique crater lake, which is roughly 1.5 meters deep. Overnight stay at a tourist camp. /B/L/D/

Day 4: Journey to Murun and the Danzadarjaa Monastery

Today involves a full day of driving to reach Murun, the capital of Khuvsgul Province. Upon arrival, we will visit the Danzadarjaa Monastery. Established in 1990, it is one of the youngest monasteries in Mongolia. You will also have time to explore the lifestyle of the residents in this small town. Overnight in a hotel. /B/L/D/

Day 5: Arrival at the "Blue Pearl" Khuvsgul Lake

We head toward Hatgal soum to reach the main attraction: the "Blue Pearl," Khuvsgul Lake. Formed seven million years ago, the lake sits at 1,645 meters above sea level. It is 136 km long, 262 meters deep, and holds the title of the second-largest freshwater lake in Asia. You will spend the night at a lakeside tourist camp. /B/L/D/

Day 6: Exploring the Shores of Khuvsgul

Enjoy a full day of leisure and exploration. Take the time to hike along the scenic shores of Khuvsgul Lake and immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the area. Overnight stay at the tourist camp. /B/L/D/

Day 7: Return to Murun and Local Immersion

We return to Murun today. This is a free day for you to rest or further explore the daily lives of the local people at your own pace. Overnight in a hotel. /B/L/D/

Day 8: Flight to Ulaanbaatar and City Sightseeing

Transfer to Murun Airport for your flight back to Ulaanbaatar. Upon arrival, enjoy a short city tour including visits to the National Museum of Mongolia, Sukhbaatar Square, and the Zaisan Hill Memorial for a panoramic view of the city. /B/L/

Day 9: Departure from Mongolia

Transfer to the airport for your international departure. Your driver and tour guide will see you off at Chinggis Khaan International Airport. /B/
