Tour Itinerary
Day 1: July 01 – Arrive in Ulaanbaatar and City Tour
Arrive in Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia. You’ll be greeted at the airport and escorted to a 4-star hotel. After lunch, take a city tour to Gandan Monastery, where you will see a huge gold-plated Buddha, a symbol of Mongolian national pride and cultural revival. Visit the Ulaanbaatar City Museum, Central Square, and the National Museum of Mongolia, where you will see artifacts from Mongolia and Central Asia from the Stone Age to the present time. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: July 02 – Shuranga River
Today’s destination is the Shuranga River. You will meet your horse keeper and prepare for the trip. Stay at the “Naiman Lake” eco-camp. Meet local people, and your horse guide will accompany you to give you the chance to discover the life and food of the nomads. Enjoy real, authentic Mongolian barbecue made traditionally! Overnight at the local ger camp.

Day 3: July 03 – Horse Trek to Lake Shireet & Lake Haliut
Begin the horseback riding trip in the territory of Naiman Lake. Yak riding trial and support. The lakes are located in a high mountain area with sub-alpine meadows and coniferous forests of Siberian pine and Siberian larch, flat valley areas with lava stone fields in the north of the protected area, and barren mountain tops. Overnight in tents.

Day 4: July 04 – Horse Trek to Naiman Nuur (Eight Lakes)
Horseback riding trip to Naiman Nuur. The area of Naiman Nuur (Eight Lakes), which was created by volcanic eruptions centuries ago, is 3,163 meters above sea level. Khuisiin Naiman Nuur (Navel Eight Lakes) is located at over 2,400 meters above sea level. Overnight in tents.

Day 5: July 05 – Horse Trek to Buurug Valley
Horseback riding trip to Buurug Valley. Visit the family of a horseman. You are free to taste the favorite beverage of the nomads – Airag, fermented mare’s milk. Overnight in tents.

Day 6: July 06 – Horse Trek to Orkhon Waterfall
Continue the trip to Orkhon Waterfall. At first, the terrain will be wide-open valleys with mountains and rivers, then it changes to forested

Day 7: July 07 – Karakorum with Local Naadam Festival
In the morning, drive to Karakorum. Today you will attend the Naadam Festival, featuring wrestling, horse racing, and archery tournaments. The festival continues with other traditional games.
This is a real chance to experience the traditions and culture of Mongolia and to try local foods and beverages. Enjoy the local Naadam Festival with wrestling, horse racing, archery, and traditional games. Overnight at a tourist camp.

Day 8: July 08 – See Takhi (Asian Wild Horse) & Horse Ride
Early morning visit to Erdene Zuu, the oldest monastery with 108 stupas, built in 1586. Drive to Hustai National Park to see Takhi, the Asian wild horse. If you are lucky, you may also see wolves, argali sheep, and deer. Enjoy light hiking and photography in the beautiful landscape. Half-day horse riding.
Visit the Takhi Information Center. Overnight at the tourist camp.

Day 9: July 09 – Chinggis Khaan Horse Statue & Ulaanbaatar City Tour
After breakfast, drive to the Giant Chinggis Khaan Statue. The statue is 40 meters high and depicts Chinggis Khaan holding a golden whip in his right hand. Drive back to Ulaanbaatar. Enjoy the main Naadam Festival preview.
In the afternoon, you may shop for souvenirs and cashmere before attending an evening national folklore concert. Farewell dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 10: July 10 – Departure from Mongolia
After breakfast, transfer to the airport.

Rider Requirements:
Riders must be 10 years and older and under 65 years of age (unless prior approval is given). The weight limit is 220 pounds. Pregnant riders are not permitted. We screen for any health conditions that may be affected by the 8,000 ft elevation (heart, lungs, altitude sickness, sun exposure, etc.).
